Singing bowls are the principal auditory aid to meditation used in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. The bowl can be struck like a gong or made to 'sing' by rubbing the outer rim of the bowl with the striker or puja to produce a complex harmonic tone which draws the mind into a state of meditative focus.
Handmade from bronze in Nepal. They are made by local craftsmen using traditional hand-hammering techniques resulting in a warm, subtle yet complex sound.
We offer two different types of bowls, a straight sided or Thado bowl and a curved or Jambati Singing Bowl.
